The big day may have come and gone, but keep in touch as we’re always up to something new and exciting.
It was a pleasant fall morning for our Gulf Coast Corvette Club outing to Bob’s Train and the Fruitville Grove Pumpkin Festival! Members gathered for brunch at Bob’s Train in Sarasota, dining inside vintage train cars filled with circus memorabilia and local history. The food was delicious, and the nostalgic atmosphere made for great conversation and plenty of laughs.
After brunch, Anna led the group east along Fruitville Road toward Fruitville Grove. While not a formal cruise, several members continued on to visit the Pumpkin Festival, enjoying the chance to take in the fall decorations and local vendors. The festival offered hayrides, live music, a petting zoo, and other family-friendly activities for those who stayed to explore.
It was a relaxed and enjoyable day shared among friends — with good food, great company, and the unmistakable camaraderie of the Gulf Coast Corvette Club.
It was a great day for our Gulf Coast Corvette Club cruise to Loaded Cannon Distillery! We met up at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s in Lakewood Ranch before setting out on our drive.
RJ led us on a scenic and relaxed route through North Manatee County, even crossing briefly into Hillsborough County. The winding backroads made for a beautiful cruise, with plenty of countryside views and a eye-catching line of Corvettes along the way.
Our destination was Loaded Cannon Distillery, where members enjoyed a guided tour and learned how handcrafted spirits are made. The distillery staff shared interesting insights about their small-batch process, and several members picked up a bottle or two to take home!
The adventure didn’t end there — as we made our way to Miller’s Ale House in Heritage Harbour for lunch, the skies opened up with a downpour, giving our Corvettes a well-needed rinse. Despite the rain, everyone arrived safely and enjoyed good food, laughter, and camaraderie to close out another memorable GCCC event.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a big thanks to RJ for leading such an enjoyable cruise!
It was a beautiful, sunny day for our Gulf Coast Corvette Club drive to Tarpon Springs! We enjoyed a smooth and direct trip to the Sponge Docks area, arriving early enough to do a little shopping before lunch.
We gathered for a delicious meal at Mykonos Restaurant, where the food and company were both fantastic. After lunch, many members explored the historic Sponge Docks, browsing the unique shops and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
Several of us also made a stop at Hellas Bakery to pick up some delicious Greek pastries — a perfect treat to cap off a wonderful day.
Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such an enjoyable event!
We had another great Corvette cruise on March 29, starting from The Goddard School in Lakewood Ranch and winding our way through some scenic backroads of eastern Sarasota County. With seven Corvettes in the lineup, it was a smaller group, but the open roads, light traffic, and relaxed pace made it a perfect spring drive.
Our route featured peaceful country scenery and a few long, open stretches that gave everyone a chance to enjoy their ride. We wrapped things up with a laid-back lunch at Stottlemyer’s Smokehouse, a rustic and lively spot known for its Tiki-style atmosphere and hearty BBQ.
Thanks to everyone who came out—we’re looking forward to the next one!
We proudly showcased a selection of Corvettes at the Sundown Get Down Bridge Street Event on July 18th in Bradenton. This lively street party, which takes place on the third Thursday of every month from July to December, featured various themes, with the July event celebrating a "Retro Beach Party." The event attracted numerous visitors who enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere filled with activities, music, and family-friendly entertainment.
A country drive from Lakewood Ranch, FL to Wauchula, FL offered a scenic and relaxing journey through the heart of Florida's countryside. As you leave the suburban landscape of Lakewood Ranch, you'll head east on FL-70, transitioning quickly from bustling townships to tranquil, open spaces.
Located in the heart of Wauchula, FL, Beef 'O' Brady's is a family-friendly sports bar and restaurant known for its welcoming atmosphere and casual dining experience. We had 9 cars and 14 people attended the Cruise and Lunch.

Our recent road trip to Coppertail Brewery was an unforgettable experience! We gathered at Hillsborough County Rest Area - Northbound and set off for a day filled with camaraderie and great beer.
At Coppertail Brewery, we were greeted warmly and treated to delicious brews and tasty food. The highlight of the day was the brewery tour, where we learned about the craft behind Coppertail's renowned beers.
But most importantly, our club members enjoyed bonding over pints and capturing memorable moments together.
Stottlemyer's is a large, open Tiki Hut style restaurant with an exceptional menu and live music. We had 16 cars and 33 people attend the Cruise and Lunch. Yes, one person didn't drive a Corvette,
(33/2 <> 16).
The route took us out east, past the Hermann's Lipizzaner Stallions, and through a 'canopy' covered road and ended near I-75 on Fruitville Rd., at Stottlemyer's Smokehouse.
Currently, we have one million members (well, only about 60) and about 80 cars. Our members come from all walks of life, and from all over the country.
